Personal/ Portfolio Site Project Brief

Personal/ Portfolio Site Project Brief

Name of your site (URL)

Do not have site yet….

Content

I am planning on including all projects I have worked on since my time at Peace, and other projects I have done outside of the classroom. These projects will include everything and even my flash projects and movies that we have completed. I would like my peronsal website to be fun and interactive but professional looking as well, very organized and easy to manage.

I feel along with all my projects, I will include my portfolio and resume with my personal logo included (business card, letterhead, envelope, etc). Since I am leaning more towards branding and logo making when I graduate I plan on including a separate page that includes all the logos I have created. That is just an idea.

I would like my site to be open to anyone that would like to view my work… Friends, family, businesses, professors, etc. I will also provide links to my LinkedIn. Like I said earlier I want my website to be easy to manage and very organized.

Shazam App

I chose to share the Shazam App. I absolutely love this app and continue to use it constantly. I love being able to have an app that lets you tag the song that you are listening to.

Redesign Web Ideas

CAM Reflection

I am so glad we had the opportunity to go to the CAM Museum. I wish I had my camera or phone for that matter to take pictures of everything that caught my eye. The Deep Surface exhibit was really cool. Since, I have been wanting to focus on packaging, I was able to see different types of packaging that had been done. This opened my eyes to a whole new perspective of what packaging can look like. When I was walking down stairs I saw a chandelier, which was made out of paper that was made out of words, very cool. I had to look at it a second time to be able to read the words. Another design that caught my eye was the table with the plates, napkins, utensils set in place and each plate, napkin utensil continued the design that was on the table on them. I also thought downstairs was cool the woman that design with tape. I stayed down there for a while trying to figure out how something like this was done and so perfect.
I never knew this museum was downtown and cannot wait to go again.

In Five Years...

Whewww, scary to think I am about to graduate and will be looking for a job in less than a year. The projects we have completed throughout my time at Peace have laid a ground for where I might see myself in five years. I really like working with typography and placing things where they need to go on a page. If I could pick right now, in 5 years I could see myself designing invitations, cards, shopping bags, logos, etc. I want to work in a fun, easy-going atmosphere and want to be excited about going to work everyday. I want to love the people I work with and be able to talk with them about my projects, getting helpful feedback and critique. I feel like our critique sessions throughout my time at Peace have gotten me to where I am today. These sessions are very critical and help each of us move forward with our designs. I hope that I will be working somewhere, where I won't hesitate to ask them for feedback. With the economy the way it is, I am leaving my options open to anything and will be willing to work in any position. Not every day you get your dream job, right?

Stamps

I decided to create a series of 16 stamps, celebrating the life of Michael Jackson. I wanted to bring iconic representation of Michael Jackson and also work with typography. I want to encourage Michael Jackson followers as well as music groupies to to use these stamps during Michael Jackson's birthdate month (August) in remembrance of him. I feel like Michael Jackson was the perfect candidate because of how well known he is, and how much of an impact he had on other people. The color choice I have chosen is, black and white. I was going to add color but I feel just leaving it black and white represented Michael Jackson more strongly and makes the stamps stand out more.
