Clear Defense Logo Sketch

I am redesigning a logo for a company 'Clear Defense', that makes shatter proof glass. This company markets to hockey, basketball and safety. I wanted to design a logo that represented and explained what the company job was through the logo. Here are a couple of things I had in mind. My favorite is that C and D that connect on the second page. These are just the first and most important steps. So I am still working with all of them!
