This tutorial was supposed to take 5 minutes, but ended up taking me an hour and I still have not gotten it completely right. Became very frustrated. I think this would be cool looking if it turned out right like the original.

This tutorial was much more difficult than the Gold Lettering Tutorial. I was having trouble with the ellipse tool, figured out how to do it on "AHDESIGN" but then was not able to do it on "STYLE". I think the finishing product of what it is really supposed to look like is very neat!

For this idea I have decided to take my idea of the box with the numbers scrambled within for each month. I was also thinking making the whole top out of the numbers scrambled instead of just a little box? This reminds me of what I did for my grid project in Type 1 with the different directions of letters. The calendar will go under the name of the month. The title page for this would be the one I had first with all 12 squares on the front

Third Calendar Design

My third idea for a calendar is to have the name of the month and then inside each of the letter have the number for each month scrabbled in (like my boxes for my first design) Again, the colors will be related to the color of the month. I started with the "J" what I meant with the numbers beings scrambled in. This is also a fun and neat idea, I also like the font of "January".

Or, having the abbreviations of the months with the numbers?? Im not sure?!

Second Calendar Idea

My second design is having the number of each month big with a line that continues throughout the calendar. I will have to work with the fonts to make this look good and clean. Do any of ya'll know a good serif that can also have a continuing line that I could add? I am thinking about putting the name of the month white in the bottom line and having the calendar dates in the box that I have provided. I need to work with color. I am going to look up color of the month but if I can find them I will do colors related to season, holiday, etc dealing with each particular month.

First Calendar Idea

This is my first design. I am thinking finishing the blocks with the correct number according to the month. For the specific date the box with the correct number will be 100% tint and then all the other month boxes will be a lighter tint. I am planning on have the calendar under the name of the month. This is my favorite design so far and think it will look really cool with the color of the month and on that specific month each box of the month will be slightly bigger.
